Double flowered auriculas provide a wonderful display during springtime. They are more usually grown in pots in a cold greenhouse so that their flowers can be enjoyed close up. However they are great in planters, troughs and sink gardens in a cool sheltered part of the garden. There is a wide range of colours across the range of varieties. Colour can vary from almost white, through cream, yellow and gold to browns, gingers and chestnuts and many purples and wine reds.
