Primula watsonii is a fairly easy plant to grow. It does well in soils that are well drained but they should never dry out. It is a high altitude plant in its native Tibet and parts of Burma and Sichuan and so is perfectly hardy for these isles. This is an ideal plant for a container and is a ‘must’ for any collection. Primula watsonii likes good light and some shelter from strong winds. The flowering height is 30 cm (1 foot) during Late April into May. Each flower stem carries many small flowers. Flower colour is blackish purple. Plants are flowering size and posted bare-root.
